FAQ: Travertine or marble for the project?

Travertine is usually the safer answer when a project needs a warmer natural look, strong facade performance, and broad color choice. It is often preferred for exterior work because it gives a softer architectural feel.

Marble is usually selected when the design asks for a more refined interior finish, especially in lobbies, staircases, and polished spaces. It can look more formal, but it is generally chosen with a more controlled use case in mind.

If the project has outdoor exposure, repeated weather contact, or a facade requirement, travertine is often the more practical answer. For interior prestige areas, marble can be the stronger design choice.
